Bassett & Partners (B&P) is a qualitative market research and brand strategy company founded in 2003 that specializes in extracting underlying human truths that can be used to inspire and inform influential designers and marketers.

Clients include Nike (Consumer Cultures, Tech Lab, Innovation Kitchen), Microsoft (Entertainment Design Studio, Sidekick, Xbox), PepsiCo (Quaker Oats, Mountain Dew), Motorola (Mobile Entertainment), Panera Bread, Subway Restaurants, Electronic Arts, Intel, IDEO (including contributing to the book “I miss my pencil” published in Q2 of 2009) , MNML/Scott Wilson Design, jeffstaple design and Harvard Business School. 

Its founder - Tom Bassett - was the director of strategic planning for Nike’s global advertising at Wieden + Kennedy, Apple’s global advertising at Chiat/Day, and Yahoo’s global advertising at Black Rocket.

In September of 2008, Tom Bassett founded proprietary Internet-based qualitative research tool, MindSwarms. MindSwarms is paid webcam Q&A.
