What we did
Our industrial design partner - MNML - was awarded the assignment to re-design the M2.
Together with the design team and client, we visited a broad range of physicians and practices: emergency medicine, anesthesiology, breast care, internal medicine and the list goes on. In the US, Europe and Japan.
The key insight was that doctors experienced a rush of confidence when they were able to identify a problem, or determine there wasn’t one.
So we anchored the design strategy in the idea of Elevated Confidence. Under that broader umbrella came a short list of key features that needed to be redesigned.
Bassett & Partners and MNML won an IDSA user research award in 2014 for the redesigned device.
