Cara is an ethnographer engrossed in the design, sports, health, and engineering worlds. She  joined Bassett in 2010, specializing in sports and medical devices. Since joining, she has worked on projects ranging from travel to medicine. She worked with Incase to shape a design strategy for a new bag series. She utilized her depth of experience in Asia and medical device design to inform SonoSite’s product and marketing strategy in Japan. 

Before Basset, Cara spent time with Nokia, NRC Beijing to design a UI for illerate, rural Chinese and TEDxTokyo in Japan directing and designing the inaugrual TEDxTokyo conference, now a premier TEDx event and partner in TEDx youth initiatives. She remains an active member of the TEDx community in Asia and now the San Francisco Bay Area.

She is a diehard Stanford fan, graduating with a Bachelors in Biomechanical Engineering and an Masters in Mechanical Engineering, Design Methodology.
